Taking small steps together
Do you dream of simple practices for decisions that everyone can support? From small conversations at home to transforming your whole community or organization, any change is easier together. At Decide Together, we invite, inspire, and support each other in making decisions that care for everyone’s needs.
Bring your questions and challenges: From navigating a conflict with your friends to collaborating on strategic decisions in your network. From getting parents more involved at your children’s school to engaging with political polarization. How do you get started? What if people don’t want to talk about it? What if you have no idea what to do or how to get enough influence? We’ll work together to discover what is possible and supportive in each situation.
Bring your experience and enthusiasm: Share your knowledge or favorite practices, participate in role-plays, and support others. Try some new practices for making collaborative decisions and offer feedback. Explore differences and disagreements as opportunities to deepen our understanding and find more creative solutions. Connect with people to discuss projects and potential for future collaboration.
Each of us can make a difference simply by showing up and trying. With every decision that truly works for everyone, no matter how small, we create new possibilities for efficient and caring ways to work together.

Contributing to make this possible

The organizing team offers this event as a gift, meaning no one is required to pay to participate. We ask people to gift us money to help cover our costs and some of our living expenses. We are taking on more risk by choosing not to charge people for participation because we really want to move away from capitalism. This is a small step towards our dream of a world where resources flow freely to where they are needed, also called the gift economy.
We invite you to choose an amount that considers both your needs and ours, including any funding you can use from an organization or program. You can gift us money even if you don’t participate, and you are more than welcome to participate even if you are not able to gift us any money. You can also support us in other ways, like inviting more people, taking notes, or helping build our community.
Curious about this approach? Visit our Gifting page to learn more or use our guided process to engage more deeply with what it takes to transition toward a more needs-based economy.
Space for all kinds of experiences
Are you new to collaborative decisions or not even sure what it means?
You can just show up, ask questions, and learn by doing. Unlike reading or watching a course, in “real-play” sessions you get to experience how things work in live interaction with other people. We focus on using simple practices to find common ground and resolve disagreements.
Do you have some experience or maybe even teach or facilitate?
Share your wisdom, expand your knowledge, and get support for your challenges. We welcome diverse perspectives! You can help with organizing, offer a session, or contribute to the practices we plan to use. You can also just participate – it’s up to you.
Let’s come together and build a network for transforming the future of collaboration. We invite you to co-create an event where we live what we learn, connecting in small groups to discover common ground and shared purpose. Surround yourself with passionate people who long to develop sustainable ways of working and make decisions that care for everyone.
